Pokémon Go will hold its first Go Fest event in the UK this summer, with a three-day giveaway at Brockwell Park in London.
Go Fest 2023 in London will run from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 August, with early bird tickets on sale now (from £27). Like last year’s Seattle Go Fest, each day will be split with half a day in the park, and the rest of the day spent exploring the local area – this time, with bonuses available throughout Greater London.
An edition based in Osaka, Japan will run on the same dates, while New York has been chosen to host the USA leg of the event from 18 to 20 August.
There’s no word yet on the focus of Go Fest this year — whether it be storylines, Pokémon, or other exclusives. But each event is usually a great gathering point for the sport’s always-exciting community – and this time, right here in the UK.
In 2022, Pokémon Go Fest returns as an in-person event for the first time in three years, with its European portion being held in Berlin. I made the trip, and it was as enjoyable as ever, with attendees getting early access to the game’s mighty Ultra Beasts, along with exclusive regionals, costumes, and the usual array of Shiny Critters.
