Sony has announced a PlayStation 5 bundle featuring a Final Fantasy 16 theme, but it’s only available in Japan.
The limited edition bundle includes the console with special face plates – with the game’s logos of the eons Phoenix and Ifrit at war – as well as a specially designed controller. Of course, it also comes with a code for the game.
However, outside Japan there is just one bundled with the game, minus the fancy themed hardware.
It’s a shame because the sleek black theme actually looks great – minimal and not tacky. It has been available in Japan since June 22, the same day the game was released.

For us in the West, the Boring Bundle is also available from 22 June, with pre-orders opening on the PlayStation Direct Store from 4 May.
Still, the game itself looks incredible – check out my thoughts on the real-time combat and a full rundown of the gameplay from Sony’s most recent State of Play event.
