Tamil Nadu Congress Candidate Madhava Rao Dies Of Covid, By-Election If He Wins

Congress candidate from Tamil Nadu’s Srivilliputhur constituency died of Covid at present.

A Congress candidate from Tamil Nadu has died of COVID-19, just a few days after he contested from the Srivilliputhur constituency within the state meeting elections.

Congress candidate PSW Madhava Rao died of problems at a hospital at present after being contaminated with coronavirus final month.

As he died after elections, there will not be any re-polling. If he wins from his constituency in Virudhunagar district, a by-election will probably be held.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary in-charge of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Twitter mentioned: “Deeply pained to be taught concerning the unhappy demise of INCTamilNadu Chief and Srivilliputhur Meeting Congress candidate Shri MadhavaRao, resulting from Covid problems.”

“Our heartfelt condolences to his household. We stand with them on this hour of grief and pray might his soul relaxation in peace,” he added.

Polling throughout 234 meeting constituencies in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu came about on April 6. The counting of votes will probably be completed on Could 2.
