The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Particular Process Drive (STF) on Tuesday arrested a person who allegedly impersonated a captain of the Indian Military and duped a number of individuals on the pretext of offering them jobs within the pressure.

The accused, Anand Kumar alias Rajvir Singh Raghuvanshi, was present in possession of Military uniform, stamps and his {photograph} within the uniform, police stated.

He allegedly took Rs 14 lakh from seven individuals together with Amarnath Yadav of Bithari village of Varanasi, and Rs 10 lakh from Sudhakar Verma, Rajnish and Divya, the STF stated.

Kumar additionally deceived his in-laws into pondering that he was an Military officer and married their daughter. Later, his spouse lodged a grievance in opposition to him.
